Squads and Competitive Gymnastics

Overview

Our squads focus on developing gymnasts on to a more advanced level. We have different types of squads, and various pathways.

Selection into specific squads is based on the following:

  • Attendance of current sessions

  • Ability to commit to squad training times

  • Skills gymnasts are able to do

  • Aims of gymnast + parents

  • Attitude towards training

Each pathway has a different focus. Some pathways have options to take part in competitions and learn harder skills. The best pathways for each gymnasts depends on the child’s ability, goals and commitment.
